Round Two

I can’t believe I am so useless at blogging. Considering I have wanted to start for way over a year now, you would think I’d be a little more consistent right?
I’m determined this time around to do at least one a week! Fingers crossed.

This last week has been a tad manic. Finishing uni assignments, packing up for christmas, and flying to Canada to see my family has been just crazy. Being in Canada for christmas is just amazing, I love it here! With all the snow and sitting indoors by the far with mulled wine is just my idea of perfect.

We started the week off with some moving as my dad has recently bought a new house.
Of course I got to choose things for my new room (even if I am only here once a year), and a sleigh bed was top of the list! I got some lovely furniture and I'm hoping it will all come together nicely and that there will be some photos in my next post.

During the run up to christmas we went sledding, which was fun and terrifying all in one go. The hardest part was climbing back up the hill in a foot of snow afterwards. Safe to say I was shattered. We then went to an Ice Hockey game (GO GP STORM!), which was so much fun. I love that when home scores everyone throws teddy’s onto the rink for the team to collect and send to the children’s hospital, which I think is such a lovely idea. Luckily we won the game which made the atmosphere so amazing!

Currently I’m sat by the fire, watching Pretty Little Liars sipping on some hot choc, waiting for the christmas eve antics to begin tomorrow. I’ll be sure to blog more next week!

HAPPY CHRISTMAS GUYS!

Nails!

Lately I have seen some serious nail inspo! I am dying to get mine redone and have no idea on how to have them. Luckily for me I am away looking after my baby nephew for 10 days so I have a while to decide. I thought I would share some that I am loving at the minute...

As you can probably tell, I'm loving matte nails... and stiletto! Which one is your fave?

Healthy Eating

I really need to get in the habit of blogging regularly! I have so much going on, but I still love writing but it always seems to take the backseat...

I've been trying really hard to eat healthy lately, so I though I would share some of the things I've been eating. Being a student I have a tight budget to buy the ingredients with, so my dinners are all very cheap, simple and easy to make, which is always good!

Brunch - Granary toast, with roasted tomatoes topped with a poached egg.

Cafe Zest - Roasted vegetable and feta jacket with a side salad.

Dinner - Brothers homemade chilli (with cheese whoops).

Snack - Strawberries and raspberries are my favourite!

Dinner - Sweet potato jacket, peppers, herb chicken and tomato and pepper pasta.

Naughty breakfast - Maple pancakes and strawberries.

Dinner - Butchers steak, extra lean!

This is just a few of the meals I've been having lately, and all have been super yummy! I am thinking of doing the Whole 30 program, as I really feel its beneficial to your health to do a natural detox every now and again! I need to start introducing more greens into my diet as thats my biggest problem, which you can see. My inspiration to start whole 30 comes from Meg Says. Her blog and Instagram have so many yummy dishes and recipes which I have taken on board and given me ideas on how to go about the program. Definitely check out her blog!

Weekend at Roberts!

Having a boyfriend who you met at uni does have its disadvantages... summer break. Meaning I go back to Norwich and he goes back to Dunstable. On the plus side.. Weekends away! So this week I went down to see him and had the best time

We both love the cinema and the first thing we did was go see 'the fault in our stars'. I admit, I cried and I could see Robert was on the verge of tears too (haha). I thought it was good, but far too hyped up, although the storyline was a good twist that neither of us saw coming! When we got back home, I had my first ever coke float. Safe to say I still don't know how to feel about it, it wasn't that enjoyable!

When I go away I like to treat myself, and this time I was a bit naughty! River Island completely shocked me in the jewellery department.. it's just so cheap! I love dainty pieces, and feel in love with the simple daisy collection. They also had some lovely rose metallic necklaces and bracelets that are great for everyday, but also different from the usual. However I can't find them online :(

I also got this jumper for £25, which I thought was perfect for the summer. It's so light and thin, and being an off white colour it's great for the chilly summer evenings. I thought it would look great with some ripped jeans that I made myself this week (pictures to come)Topshop had some great bargains in the sale, and these shoes were just £10. Loving the floral, and the blue is great to pair with both white and all blue jeans. I have since found them to be un-comfy as hell but hey, fashion hurts.

 Top: River Island (not online)
Jeans: Topshop
Shoes: Topshop
Necklace: Topshop Sale (not online)
Ring: Pandora

The weather was great all week, so we decided to visit Willen Lake. It was so beautiful and we walked around for hours. There was a small restaurant as part of the hotel which was ok, but the view made it spectacular! Being in the outdoorsy mood, we took little Sophie for a walk to the park when we got home, she's the best dog in the world and I just couldn't leave her out!

Unfortunately, I had to come home :( work calls! It was such a lovely week, and is always heartbreaking coming home, and resorting to FaceTime. Anyway, before I start getting soppy i'll finish up! I have some new blog post ideas for the next few days so I'm sure ill be writing soon!

The Beginning...

After numerous weeks of deliberating 'do I... don't I...' I have jumped on the bandwagon and decided to start my own blog. Exciting!

Ill start by introducing myself... I'm Hannah. I'm 21, from Norwich but studying in Sheffield with the hopes of graduating with a criminology and psychology degree.

As I'm on summer break, I thought nows the time to start my own blog and get the ball rolling. This will mainly feature lifestyle posts, with the odd fashion, fitness and beauty, where I'll do my best to keep it interesting and different from all the others out there!

Head to the About Me and FAQ sections if you want to know anymore, and feel free to comment on posts and ask questions! Suggestions would also be grateful!
